The Legacy of SeaArk Boats

 

SeaArk began as a simple dream created by dedicated boating enthusiasts. However, it didn’t take long for the company to expand into the legend it is today. Whether you want to go with your kids on their first fishing trip, enjoy a leisurely cruise around the lake, or take your water sports to the next level – there is a SeaArk model out there for you! 

 

The Founding of SeaArk

In 1958, a group of boat lovers launched the MonArk Boat Company. At first, they crafted small aluminum jon boats, seeing success with their early models. This led to the expansion of the product line, including a variety of boats made from aluminum and fiberglass. 

Eventually, the company branched out into the professional market, with the very first boat of this type modeled with a small cabin and crafted for the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission.

 

Changes at SeaArk 

In the early days, the company built recreational boats through one division and built work boats through another. When the Mercury Powerboat Division of Brunswick Corporation purchased the recreational side of the operation, the original founders decided to keep the work boat side and renamed it SeaArk. The SeaArk company expanded its business partners to include the U.S. Military, municipal fire departments, the San Antonio RiverWalk, and foreign governments.

In 1992, the non-compete agreement with Brunswick Marine expired and SeaArk was able to begin making recreational boats once again. This time around, the company focused on all-welded and heavy-duty aluminum hunting and fishing boats. For the next several years, they spent time innovating and improving these models.

SeaArk enjoys a rich history of building quality boats and continues to carry on the tradition. Today, SeaArk is known as the top catfishing boat manufacturer – and still, that is only just a glimpse of the company's extensive product line.
